As of 2025, I accept Aetna, Medicaid, Amerigroup, and BCBS for therapy sessions.
Effective February 2019: I no longer accept Medicaid, Amerigroup, WellCare, Cigna, BCBS POS, or BCBS HMO for testing services.
Psychoeducational evaluations refer to assessments of skills, characteristics, or factors that could impact learning, including dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia. All psychoeducational evaluations are paid out of pocket at a flat rate that includes an intake appointment, face-to-face test administration (ranging from 3 - 5+ hours), scoring, report writing, and feedback. 90-day payment plans are offered to cover expenses; however, reports are not released until payment is received in full. Please contact our office to discuss pricing.
I complete all assessments myself; I do not use psychometrists, technicians, or student clinicians to administer or score any portion of the evaluation or write reports.
My experience has been that insurance plans do not cover education-based assessments or evaluations for educational purposes, as identification of learning differences is not viewed as “medically necessary.” Of note, insurance plans do not cover evaluation if a diagnosis is provided.
Self-pay clients are welcome, and I strive to offer reasonable and competitive pricing for all services. Payment is due at the time services are rendered, including copays, unless otherwise determined before the appointment. Payments are accepted via cash, check, or credit card.
Additional information related to therapy and assessment fees can be found in the client information packet.
